Review:

The second day at Take it in the Ear was slightly quieter, Matt and Ether’s void did acoustic sets, while other bands played loud sets to small audiences. The vibe was very laid back, and fun – Matt’s set was cool, with a great cover of Led Zeppelin’s GOING TO CALIFORNIA thrown in for a surprise, and the old rarity RED HOT MAMA. Matt did the set solo at the piano, with some help from ROSE RECORD (his favourite background singer) on AS I GO ALONG and WILLOW…Rose took lead vocal’s on a cover of Sarah McLachlan’s ANGEL as a tribute to a friend who passed away a year ago – this song fit in nicely at Take it in the ear which was a benefit for teen depression and suicide in Tssawwassen… Matt finished the show with a solo performance of WILLOW, a song written for the very same friend!
