Review:

    Tonight was a great night at numbers... Kyle (the MC and bartender in the greenroom) said it was his favourite one yet! A good mix of fun people and a great set made it a special night! The first big surprise was that the opening number has changed from 4bidden love to BOY OBSERVATIONS which was an intense and powerful start to the show! Matt's solo stuff sounded cool with a cover of Liz Phair's FUCK N' RUN Jenn Boyd was excellent as usual, doing a mini cabaret segment in the middle where it was Jenn singing to Matt's piano playing to three songs: Tori Amos' SILENT ALL THESE YEARS, Fiona Apple's PAPER BAG, and her own STILL BREATHING. It was an excellent segment!
    Set two was really fun with many guests - Rose Record joined Matt on the beautiful tune about death and depression 2NITE, Tom Kosaka ripped up Billy Joel's cheesy classic PIANO MAN, and Kacie did an amazing job on songs like GOD BLESS THE CHILD, and SEASONS OF LOVE!
    The highlight of the show was the final song, the dance version of 4BIDDEN LOVE which Matt sang to a backing track, with the entire audience dancing along on the dance floor! What fun! Matt even tried to pull a brad pedwell and rap at the end!
