Review:

    GOODBYE JENN! Tonight was Jenn Boyd's farewell at Numbers as she is leaving for Australia very soon! Naturally it was quite a big party! The crowd started small at the beginning of set one, but built and built into a big drunken gay bar bash! Sluts and Queers all over the place! Good music! Dancing! Slapping! Pushing! Crying! Fighting! Tonight had it all. The performance was poignant because of Jenn's departure and all the songs were (as Ashley Presidente put it so nicely) on point tonight.
    Matt started solo with BOBS, a dark HALLOWEEN, and david bowie's ROCK N' ROLL SUICIDE. The rest of set one was played with Jenn and Kacie (who did a lovely cover of liz phair's RED LIGHT FEVER, and a gorgeous AUTUMN LEAVES which was the perfect jazz standard for the season). The show ended with a bang as Matt and Jenn totally rocked out THE SLOW & PAINFUL DEATH OF MATTHEW PRESIDENTE. Set one was filmed tonight for a DVD project.
    Set two was a lot of fun. The crowd was dancing like homeless people, so the set seamlessly started with the dance version of 4BIDDEN LOVE which was great! Kacie, Jenn, and Matt did an amazing trio of SEASONS OF LOVE which made the crowd go crazy! Jenn and Matt finished the set with some great rockers. The encore tonight was the highlight however, as Jenn Boyd came back up and sung a sparse, beautiful version of LEAVING ON A JET PLANE which was very moving. The show closed with an upbeat WHEN YOU FALL what a perfect ending!
