Review:

    An awesome show tonight at Cafe Deux Soleils on the drive! Matthew headlined as part of Xtra West's Cultural series. Other acts on the bill were westend sweetheart Jerome Mandrake, and the young and talented Andrew Smith. Matthew's set was eclectic, featuring Hazen Rice on the guitar/groovebox/noises and Kacie Wallace's gorgeous vocals. The trio opened with two acoustic rock numbers - THIS CITY'S COLORS and FAMILY DOWN which drew great response from the crowd. THIS CITY'S DOGS was a debut - an R&B flavoured dark epic on homelessness in  the city. Another debut was the gorgeous VALENTINES DAY. The set finished with two big dance numbers - 4U2BM9 and the ferocious 4BIDDEN LOVE. An encore was hailed and they performed Pink Floyd's WISH YOU WERE HERE to close off the evening.
