Review:

    Matthew's biggest show yet took place at the Plaza of Nations downtown Vancouver for the closing of the world Outgames. This HUGE opportunity showcased Matthew on with a half-hour set on a major festival stage with incredible talent - Sugarbeach, Kim Kuzma, Carole Pope and international headliners Dragonette & Ace of Base. The whole day was filled with great music and entertainment. Matthew's set was fairly early and the crowd was modest but very receptive. The stage and sound were huge. Matthew joined with Tara C Taylor to put on an upbeat, rockin' dancy set of favourites new & old. Kicking things off with an acoustic RAINBOW REACTION Tara introduced Matthew (megaphone style - 'the duke of davie, the beast of burrard...') as the duo slammed into GLAMOUR to get the crowd moving. A hot performance of 4BIDDEN LOVE/4U2BM9 followed complete with rap. FAMILY DOWN captured the crowds attention and the duo kept things moving with FEELIN' GOOD. Finishing off the set on a beautiful BC summer day with WHY WHY WHY was a perfect way to close the show.
