Review:
Matt debuted his new work in full at the Marine Club tonight! All
songs (minus rewind 10 months - which was left out due to time restrictions)
from the forthcoming record were performed in order! Matt gave a stellar
performance to the large audience at the Marine Club. The ambiance was fantastic with a large,
life-sized poster of
Sosandra in the Background, and dolls, props, and jackets used to make the show
more interesting! Matt performed Sosandra and Dog spoken away from the piano, as
well did a glam rock-big jacket-jam for insecure/immature (also away from the
piano). For the encore Matt played a few favourites from Math Class - including
As I go Along, which was a beautiful duet with Rose Record! The show was
finished with a beautiful cover of Macy Gray's I Try. Supporting act Brad
Pedwell was excellent as well performing a solid set with his powerful voice and
guitar work!
