Review:
This was a very big night for both matt and brad, as both bands were involved in the 2nd round of the Molson Canadian rocks house party series! The best part about this show is that it was at a local club, so tonnes of friends and co-workers came out in support of both artists which was great! Brad's band SH1VER came out and did an incredible set (matt joined on keyboards for a few songs), and then Matt came up and kept the crowd going for another half hour or so! Starting the set with the sonic youth cover SCHIZOPHRENIA was an eerie and unique opening, but the energy built through SKIING TRIP, and an intense LAST NIGHT I DREAMED.... BURN THE BLACK DRESS was a fan favourite and highlight - brad's 'bop's' were superb! A surprise change to the setlist was the addition of FEELIN' GOOD (imagine - a queer dance song at a ladner club!) which was fun and funky! LONG TALK was the best performance of the night, and JULY closed the show! What a night!
