Last month I had the honour of doing the opening set for Canadian legend Bif Naked at Red Bird in Kelowna for part of the Pride celebrations. This gig was a big deal! Not only was it a 30 minute opening set at a sold out show but I also got to perform WITH Bif for the finale of the evening – her famous song ‘I love myself Today’. Kelowna Pride had an amazing energy, Red Bird (one of my favourite venues ever) was buzzing with excitement and I knew it had to be a good one. I brought up my friend, guitarist and long time collaborator, Pedwell, to join me for this show. We played a 7 song set – mostly from the new album ‘Chosen Sun’ – with a few old favourites. ‘Feelin’ Good’, our silly queer banger from 2004 brought the house down, as it always does.
