My newest song ‘Sungold’ is out today and I’m very proud of this one!
Sungold evokes suburban summers, big teenage dreams and crossroads in life . It’s inspired by the music I grew up listening to in the 90s – not the alt rock, grunge or metal but the the full layered vocal choruses of Counting Crows and Soul Asylum, the melodic piano melodies of Fleetwood Mac, and the intricate dramas of the Smashing Pumpkins. It’s a reminder to reach out for help and remember where you came from as you focus you on where you need to go.
